Medium-Voltage Fuses & Fuse Links

Medium-voltage fuses and fuse cutout links provide overcurrent protection at voltages greater than 600VAC for use in medium-voltage transformers, feeder circuits, motor circuits, and fused switches. They meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) design standards. The fuses are current-limiting to prevent electrical damage by disconnecting circuits before they're exposed to the full magnitude and duration of an overcurrent. They include E-rated fuses for general purpose use, R-rated fuses for backup applications, and PT-rated fuses for protecting potential transformers. The fuse cutout links are expulsion fuses that limit the duration of an overcurrent but not its magnitude. They include fast-acting Type K links for protecting capacitors or transformers and slow-acting Type T links that coordinate with relays for line protection.
