Buffing & Grinding Machines

Image 1

Buffing and grinding machines provide workstations to finish, shape, and remove material from workpieces. Bench buffers use cloth wheels for polishing and light material removal. Bench grinders turn abrasive wheels or belts to smooth rough surfaces and hone sharp edges. Belt grinding and sanding machines drive an abrasive belt around multiple contact wheels to smooth flatwork, bevel edges, shape curves, remove welds, snag castings, and sharpen blades. Disc grinding and sanding machines spin a circular abrasive to shape outside curves and to square or angle edges Combination grinding and sanding machines offer two different forms of abrasive (belt and disc or belt and wheel) in one machine. OD grinders shape and finish the outside diameter of cylindrical workpieces by rotating them against a spinning grinding wheel. Surface grinders hold flat workpieces on a worktable that moves the work back and forth under a spinning grinding wheel to smooth and finish the surface.
