Fume extractors filter and remove from the air harmful gases, vapors, and fine particulates created during welding operations. Removing contaminants helps meet OSHA requirements and prevents buildup of gases and harmful toxins that can affect worker health. Clean, filtered air is returned to the same workspace, eliminating the need for external venting. Wheeled mobile extractors are rolled to the work location and require an external air source. The have larger diameter hoses than portable extractors. Portable extractors are carried to the workpiece so they're a good choice for remote work, including maintenance and repair operations. Benchtop extractors remove soldering fumes and can be moved from desk to desk. Wall-mount extractors install in welding shops near permanent workstations that create welding fumes.
