Indexing & Positioning Equipment

Image 1

Indexing and positioning equipment sets up workpieces for layout, inspection, and machining. Angle finders and sine tools check or hold workpieces to ensure that they are machined to specific tolerances. Box parallels keep work parallel or raised at a level where it can be reached by cutting tools. Magnetic squaring and sine plate chucks provide a magnetized surface to hold work without clamping. Positioning tables have a rectangular surface that slides from front to back or side to side to position workpieces. Rotary tables have a round surface that turns to position workpieces. Spring plungers contain a spring-loaded ball or pin that applies pressure to hold workpieces in place. Swing bolts thread into jigs and fixtures to provide a pivot or hinge point for a cylinder yoke. Tooling columns have multiple faces for positioning and clamping multiple workpieces.
