Load-Bearing Structural Adhesives
Load-bearing structural adhesives are the only adhesive able to create load-bearing bonds. They provide an alternative to screws and other mechanical fastening. These adhesives distribute loads evenly across the entire bonded area and can adhere to different materials. Structural adhesives have different resin types that provide unique benefits. Epoxy creates the strongest bond for most materials and can withstand high temperatures. Acrylic is especially suited for bonding plastic, and tends to have faster cure times than epoxy and urethane. Urethane provides the highest flexibility for impact and vibration resistance.
