Precision Linear Shafts
Linear motion shafts are machined, cylindrical-shaped components with tight diameter tolerances and smooth finishes. They guide bearings and slides in single-axis motion and positioning applications such as pick-and-place systems, computerized numerical control (CNC) lasers and routers, and machine tooling. Linear support shafts are bases for shafts that stop rotational and axial movement, prevent shaft sagging during higher loads, and increase the rigidity of assemblies. Load rating depends on the number of bearings used. Ball spline linear shafts have machined arc-shaped grooves along the shaft's length that guide recirculating ball bearings.
