SAR (Supplied-Air Respirator) Systems & Components

Image 1

SAR (supplied-air respirator) systems provide workers with safe breathable air in non-IDLH (immediately dangerous to life or health) environments. Systems include a hood or facepiece that connects to a stationary air supply through an airline. Though the connected airline can limit mobility, SARs provide breathing air for longer durations than SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) where an air cylinder is carried by a worker.
