Setup, Layout & Alignment Tools
Setup, layout, and alignment tools are used for positioning, layout, setup, and alignment applications. 1-2-3 setup blocks raise workpieces a prescribed distance off of a machine table or other surface for inspection and layout applications. Granite angle plates hold workpieces and position them at an 90°angle. They are used without clamps to hold workpieces in a vertical position. Pin vises and sets hold a range of sizes of wire, small stock, reamers, scriber points, small files, pin gauges, taps, and drills. Spindle squares are setup and alignment tools used for checking the squareness of milling machine heads. Dial and electronic tool setters are used to position a workpiece or machine spindle. Shaft alignment tools are used to check the alignment of motor bearings and shafts in hard-to-reach areas.
