Shim and Shim Stock
Shim and shim stock fit into joints or between surfaces for spacing, leveling, alignment, and insulation applications. Arbor assortments include shims or spacers of different thicknesses for achieving accurate spacing on grinding tools, saws, slitting blades, milling cutters, and other machining tools. Arbor shims are used for applications that don't require a keyway. Arbor spacers have a notch that holds them in place on a shaft key. Shim stock provides material for creating custom-sized shims. Slotted shims fit around bolts and studs so they can be placed where needed. Wedge shims have interlocking horizontal and vertical ridges to keep shims in-place and allow for fine adjustments.
