Specialty paints, coatings, and additives protect surfaces from damage, improve the appearance of surfaces, and designate boundaries or usage. They may be formulated for specific types of surfaces, such as floors, roofs, or pavement. These coatings include rubberized, reflective and recreational. They may also be formulated to resist heat, mold, or other specific environments or conditions. These coatings include high-temperature paints, HVAC coatings, marine coatings, and plumbing or appliance coatings. Other specialized coatings include sealers to cover lead paint and floor additives to create a non-slip or corrosion-resistant surface.
