Stretch Wrap
Stretch wrap is used to protect the sides and top of pallets and bundles for shipping and storage. It is commonly used in fulfillment centers, loading docks, and storage facilities. Rolls have a continuous length of plastic that is wrapped around the sides of a pallet or bundle to protect the package from dust and moisture, prevent and indicate tampering, and keep items together. While stretch wrap protects the sides of the bundle, top sheeting protects the top of the bundle not covered when stretch wrap is applied to the sides. Dispensers hold the stretch wrap and top sheeting to ease and speed application. Stretch wrap machines automatically turn and wrap pallets and bundles, and turntables rotate bundles while stretch wrap is applied using a handheld applicator. Cutters have a recessed blade that cuts away stretch wrap quickly without the strapping jamming the cutter.
