Tamper-Evident Seals
Tamper-evident seals are security seals that provide tamper evidence when broken. Also known as indicative seals, they can be broken by hand or with a light tool, so they're intended to deter tampering but do not prevent anyone from accessing the property being protected. They're typically used on shipping containers, freight, and totes to safeguard equipment, tools, and other items. Strap seals and pull-tight seals snap or pull closed. Padlock seals have hasps that wrap around handles and latches like a padlock and snap into the body. Lead and wire seals consist of a wire that’s passed through a hole in a metal disc and crushed with a required security seal press to seal it. Tote seals secure drums and totes.
