Windshield wiper blades work through rain, snow, sleet, and other debris that can dangerously obstruct views while driving. Blades should be replaced every six to 12 months depending on daily use. The wiper motor keeps blades moving across the windshield. Motors can burn out or short-circuit if blades are heavily used. They should be replaced every two to three years.
